Disciple of Doom keeps the songs Robert Lowe recorded with Solitude Aeturnus and Candlemass on stage. His two newest projects point the other way, toward music nobody has heard yet: a new band, Robert Lowe’s Sacrament, and a studio of his own, Disciple of Doom Studios.
Robert Lowe’s Sacrament
Sacrament was formed with the musicians of Hex A.D., and the lineup brings together players who have spent years on the road with some of the best-known voices in heavy metal:
- Rick Hagan, guitar. He has worked with Paul Di’Anno, Blaze Bayley and Uli Jon Roth.
- Rowan Robertson, guitar, known for his time in Dio.
- Are With Gogstad, bass, who has played with Paul Di’Anno, Tim “Ripper” Owens and Blaze Bayley.
- Matt Hagan, drums.
- Mags Johansen, keyboards, who has performed with Jon Lord’s orchestra.
It is a six-piece with two guitars and keyboards, built around Robert’s voice.
Disciple of Doom Studios
Robert has also set up Disciple of Doom Studios, a room of his own to write and record. Besides singing, he plays guitar, bass, piano and oud, and the studio gives him a place to write and record all of it.
The studio shares its name with the band and with the nickname the press kit gives Robert himself: the Disciple of Doom.
