Robert Lowe landed at Guarulhos on the evening of Monday, April 6, 2026, after a morning flight out of Bergen and a layover in Amsterdam. Over the next five days Disciple of Doom rehearsed for the first time as a full band, recorded a radio session, met fans in three different places and played two shows. This is the first Disciple of Doom tour of Brazil, day by day.

Tuesday, April 7: the first rehearsal

Disciple of Doom is Robert with three Brazilian musicians: Bruno Luiz on guitar, Fabio Carito on bass and Rodrigo Abelha on drums. The four of them met at Red Star Studios, in Pinheiros, for a rehearsal that ran from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The set had been prepared at a distance, with guide vocals and separate tracks for every instrument, so this was the first time the songs were played with everyone in the same room.

Wednesday, April 8: Kiss FM and Santo André

In the afternoon the band recorded a show and an interview for Kiss Club at Kiss FM, the São Paulo rock station. In the evening they went to Santo André for dinner and a meet and greet at A Gruta Bar.

Thursday, April 9: signing and press

At 1 p.m. Robert sat down for a signing session at London Calling, the record store in Galeria do Rock, on Avenida São João. Fans gathered at the store front for a group photo before the line started.

At 6 p.m. the band held a press conference at The Metal Bar, followed by dinner and a second meet and greet that ran until 11 p.m.

Friday, April 10: La Iglesia, São Paulo

The first show was at La Iglesia, in Pinheiros, with stained glass behind the stage and a red neon cross above the drum kit. Doors opened at 7:30 p.m., Midgard played at 8, Loss at 9, and Disciple of Doom went on at 10:20. The setlist had twelve songs from Robert’s years in Solitude Aeturnus and Candlemass:

  1. Emperor of the Void
  2. The 9th Day
  3. Lament
  4. Devil Seed
  5. The Sound of Dying Demons
  6. Tomorrow’s Dead
  7. Hourglass
  8. Destiny Falls to Ruin
  9. Scent of Death
  10. At the Gallows End
  11. Hammer of Doom
  12. Opaque Divinity

Mazzei filmed and photographed the night. A short loop from The 9th Day plays on the home page, and the full video is on the Tour page.

Saturday, April 11: The Devil’s Pub, Sorocaba

The next morning the band drove to Sorocaba, about 100 km west of São Paulo, for the second and last show of the tour, at The Devil’s Pub. Doors opened at 6 p.m.

Who made it happen

The tour was presented by Som do Darma, with Eliton Tomasi and Susi Bomb as tour managers and Gro Anita Magnesdotter Lowe as the band’s manager. Midgard and Loss shared the bill in São Paulo. Robert flew home to Bergen on Tuesday, April 14.
